1教学目标

1、能听、说、读、写本课的单词和句型。 2、能理解课文内容。
3、能运用所学的语言知识描述蓝鲸。 (三)情感态度目标:
1、通过本节课的学习,培养学生参与课堂教学活动的兴趣和积极性。 2、通过了解动物,增强保护动物的意识。 (四)学习策略目标:
1、培养学生的观察力和认真细致的学习态度。 2、学习如何与别人合作,互相帮助,共同去解决问题。 3、学会阅读英语文章并从中获取所需信息。
4、培养发展学生收集资料,并动手制作海报呼吁保护野生动物的学习能力。 (五)文化意识目标
了解世界各地动物的生活习性。
2学情分析
五年级的学生从本册的Module1和Module2开始初步接触形容词、副词的比较级,在Modul3中更进一步学习了比较级,但是形容词、副词的最高级在Modul4新授课里面才开始初步接触感知,因此对最高级的概念和用法还比较模糊,这就需要教师指导学生在情景中理解和运用。在教学的过程中,我尝试将教学内容贯穿于情景教学,创造更多的机会让学生运用语言知识,培养学生的观察,记忆,归纳精神,发挥他们自主学习的精神和合作精神,同能感受到学习英语的乐趣。3
重点难点
1、对课文内容的了解与上口。 2、对课文出现的最高级的理解。 3、单词whale的读音
4、句子A blue whale can be more than thirty metres long and weighs over 150 tons.的运用与上口

活动1【导入】（一） 复习与准备：
Free talk: T: We have learned many names of the animals. Do you remember? Can you according my sentences to say out the names of the animals?(目的复习动物,pet, farm animals, zoo animals) P:
T: There are many animals in the world some live in the sea, and some live on land. ( 学习新单词: land) , some of them are big, some of them are small. 活动2【讲授】（二） 呈现与操练 Chant: 复习形容词的比较级引出最高级。
课件呈现:通过比较动物的大小,复习比较级并引出最高级。理解biggest的含义。 T: What are the biggest animals in the world? What are the biggest animals on land? Today we are going to study the dialogue of Unit 10 What are the biggest animals in the world?板书并读课题。 学习课文
布置任务:听课文录音,回答下列问题。
