Translation of the Text Passage A 什么叫业余爱好?

早先人们把骑玩具马当成消遣,这是实际存在的“hobby”。后来“骑玩具马”(ride one’s hobby-horse)的说法便传开了,意思就是追求你最喜好的消遣。到了现代,人们普遍称之为业余爱好(HOBBY)。

爱好有很多形式,收藏便是一种。收藏的价值在于购买或者拥有一件体现收藏家们爱好的特殊物品。这些收藏品总是被收藏家们细致地分类并精美地展示出来。收藏的热度和广度因人而异。比如,有些收藏家专注于某类特殊的收藏,像曼切斯特的老邮票,不丹的钱币,或是古老的钻石耳环等等;有些则喜欢收藏一些更为常见的藏品,比如古董家具、珠宝、比赛门票,诸如此类的东西;有的人甚至收藏经验,他们会在旅游时收集特别的体验,或者拍照片或录音将将这些体验保存下来。
